The Jewish roots of Jesus

As I read the Bible as a kid, I found the stories very fascinating. God created the cosmos in 6 days, Adam & Eve were in the Garden of Eden, Moses escape Egypt by miracles, David defeating Goliath, etc… but I didn’t realized until my adult age, that…Jesus was hidden in all of theses stories. We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God, but think a bit about it, who’s the Word of God? Jesus himself! The whole collection of book is based on Him. Not only it made my heart burn like a fire, but shed a whole new light in my comprehension of the Bible.

Theses parallels are very exciting to find, are they are called “biblical typology”.
Typology –> type, prototype. Adam, Moses, Isaac, David, etc… are “prototypes” of Jesus Christ. They are like movie trailers to spoil attention. And Jesus is the whole movie.

We have around 34,000 connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

The Old Testament is based on the covenant (alliance) between Israel and God, just like a husband and wife.

Don’t forget, the Holy Bible isn’t a 1 book written from A to Z by the Church, it’s a collection of books written hundreds years, with different authors, who had no idea of how the future would be. All the probabilities that it did happen are incredibly narrow, almost impossible.

The word “God says” is repeated 10 times in Genesis. So 10 time God speaks. Where do we find 10 words of God in the Old Testament? The 10 Commandments! And according to the story of the 10 Commandments, Moses used it to defeat the golden calf. And the 10 Commandments will be put inside the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark, represent Mary.
